The Sheikh Fahd Bin Ali Palace (also known as Dar Al Athar) is located adjacent to the Emiri Diwan and is owned by the Qatar Museums. The building is heritage in character and derives its architectural style from a mix of art deco and post-oil architecture, mixed with vernacular Qatari elements. The most striking feature is the main entrance gateway, that is intricately detailed with floral elements and patterns that are reminiscent of art deco style.
The palace also has an old graveyard within its boundaries, that presumably dates back to the Ottoman Period.
