The constant development of regional communities has enabled AEB to expand its markets. As the leading provider of architectural design and consultancy, AEB designs, engineers and manages solutions across a wide range of sectors.

AEB’s CORPORATE work ranges from towers for individual entities, such as the landmark Qatar Financial Centre Tower and the Al Tadamon Islamic Bank Headquarters in Sudan, to midsized developments where the aim is to make space available to several companies (where the design requires a great deal of flexibility).  AEB has also designed and constructed many subdivisions for Qatar’s financial services companies.

The scope of RESIDENTIAL projects undertaken by AEB includes the planning and design of individual privately owned villas, as well as entire housing complexes and residential towers offering high-end luxury living with duplexes and penthouse suites. In the residential market segment, the firm recently completed the Kempinski Residences and Suites Tower.

MIXED USE developments are in high demand as the MENA region looks for further ways to improve the living experience. AEB has truly grasped this challenge, designing several of these projects – including the recently completed Barwa Al Saad Development and Business Park and Crowne Plaza Hotel complex.

HOSPITALITY is of great cultural importance in the region, and keeping this in mind, AEB is able to deliver truly uniquestructures and developments. Currently, the firm is working on the luxurious MarsaMalaz Hotel, the exceptional island resort-type development at The Pearl Qatar, which is to be operated by Kempinski Hospitality group.

AEB’s RETAIL portfolio is in line with the region’s booming economy.  The firm recently completed works on several projects for the Lulu Malls, with locations in Qatar, Oman and Abu Dhabi. In addition, AEB designed Gulf Mall in Gharrafa and Merqab development in MerqabStreet, which are currently under construction.

The firm’s portfolio of work within the GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC USE market includes a multitude of embassies and ministries. The latest additions to this portfolio include the Qatari embassies in Mauritania and Cyprus. Other work in this market includes the design for Public Service Buildings at Al Dhaayan, which has won the Islamic Capitals and Cities Organisation 2010 Award.

In addition, AEB has worked with major international firms as the Local Representative Office (LRO) including Arata Isozaki and Jean Nouvel.
